I created my user page A1998C both on Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons, providing a brief description of myself and the assignment. Next, I registered on Wikimedia Dashboard and associated to my Wikipedia account the articles I wanted to contribute to, namely:

Description of the contribution

I began working on the Italian article of San Tomé, which I shared with a classmates of mine, FedeFedy1998. First, we identified the shortcomings related to its content, afterwards, we gathered information about what was missing. Then, I wrote about the changes I would make on the page discussion. I started to modify the article by distributing the existing information in a more logical way, grouping the headings "La Fondazione", "La ricostruzione", "L'epilogo" and "La lite" under the same title, as they all belong to the same topic. While doing so, I also corrected some minor typos. Afterwards, I added to the section "Monastery" important information and a picture taken by me (after authorization) about the building close to the church. Finally, I added a section titled "Eventi", dedicated to events and demonstrations organized on site. For this monument, I also decided to contribute to OpenStreetMap map too, creating an account (https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/Alice%20Ceracini) and adding information and the same picture about the Fondazione Lemine in the dedicated tab.

My classmate and I decided to expand the English page of the church of san Tomé as well. In particular, I was in charge of adding information about the former monastery in the "History" section and the photo I took in the "Gallery" section. Then, I added information about the play of lights in the section called "Architecture" (every modification was specified in the discussion page).

As for the city/town article, I chose Almenno San Bartolomeo. I first took a look at the existing content, noting that many sections were incomplete and confusingly distributed. So, I did some research and found the missing information. I then wrote on the page discussion about the project and the changes I would be making. I started the edits by modifying the order of the sections, then I prepared a table containing a list of the mayors since 1860 to be added to the "Administration" section but, when I was ready to publish it on the page, I noticed that someone else had just attached theirs. So, I just added some further details about the “Museo del Falegname” and cultural organisations in the dedicated sections. Finally, I created two new sections: “Santa Caterina di Tremozia” (including a picture taken by me after authorization) and “Sentiero del Golf”.

Given the negative vicissitudes of the previous article (see "Discussions" below), I wanted to offer a further possibility to evaluate my work by modifying a fourth article, regarding Brembate di Sopra. What I did was add a photograph from Wikimedia Commons and specify the source of the information already present in the section on the observatory. Then, I inserted a table with the history of the elections of the municipality in the section "Amministrazione" and expanded the sports section with new information specifying the sources I used. Finally, I created a new section called "Eventi".

For all articles, I made use of the correspondent discussion sections to see what changes other users thought were needed (I answered to comments, if there were any) and to report the modifications I intended to make (I created a new section called “Modifiche/Modifications”). However, I have never received any responses to those comments.

After making the changes to the city/town article, I noticed that a user had rearranged my newly added content under new sections, such as "Sport", "Monumenti e luoghi di interesse", "Architetture Religiose", "Cultura", etc. and added some new details. I thanked her because the page is now even more organized. She was very kind and she also thanked me back for my contributions (last link). When I was done, however, a picky user complained to me (writing a notice on my discussion page) and to other users claiming we hadn't paraphrased the information enough. I politely replied that I thought I had actually paraphrased my content but thanked him/her for the comment. He/she also obscured the page history and rewrote all recent contributions (not only mine but from two other users as well), even though he mostly copied and pasted them (they look almost unchanged). This last point got me down a lot, because I always put a lot of effort into paraphrasing and I'm sorry this user thought I didn't.

Involvement of stakeholders

For Rotonda di San Tomé’s page, I decided to involve the Lemine Foundation and volunteer tour guides to get help finding verified information (they gave me some books) and to ask for permission to photograph the former monastery building.

For Almenno San Bartolomeo’s page, I contacted a city council member who provided me with the source for the table to be included in the "Administration" section (which, unfortunately, I did not publish). In addition, I asked the Parish for permission to take a picture of the church of Santa Caterina di Tremozia and publish it in the article.
