- During heavy Rainy seasons potholes sometimes occur on roads in towns, cites and highways. Potholes pose danger hazzards to traffic and pendestrians. They occur randomly and can supprise even a well focused driver, many accidents occure when a driver hits a sudden pothole or when trying to avoid it. Namibian Government make sure roads are repaired as quickly as possible [1]
- Namibia has adopted hefty traffic fines as part of road safety enforcement."people caught driving without fastening their seatbelts, or driving while using a cellphone without a hands-free set, can expect to be slapped with a fine of N$2 000.Drivers who fail to obey a stop sign can expect to receive an admission-of-guilt fine of N$1 500, while the penalty to be paid by people who fail to stop at a red traffic light is set to increase to N$3 000" (The Namibian. 2010)[2]
