Article Evaluation
[edit]The article Foreign policy of the United States is a great example for good organizational upkeep for a Wikipedia Article. The sections are clear, concise, chronological and sensical in order. Despite this fact, I think that the authors could work harder to add more information to the smaller sections, as it looks, out of place and under-researched compared to other sections that include more detail.
I don't think the Obama-centrism would necessarily be appropriate to this article, as most pictures in the 'By Country or Region' category capture either Barack or Michelle Obama with the coordinating leader of the countries in the adjacent paragraphs, especially because Foreign Policy spans much further back than the last eight political years. This gets ahead of myself, because a picture I think is unnecessary is in the second section, 'The Powers of Congress,' it is a diagram of our three branch government structure, which is a bad animation, as it is but doesn't fit stylistically with the other pictures. On the other hand, the uses of maps are exquisite and useful for context of conflicts mentioned.
The use of hyperlinks for the Wikipedia Articles of Individual conflicts and treaties is extremely useful to readers eager to learn more information.
The Talk section of this article introduces a suggestion for someone to write on the War on Terror as an amendment to the War On Drugs, as it would help add information to this area. This article still needs major clean up as noted in the Talk section, which would address one of my concerns of lengthiness of this article, its not quite easy to digest.
