Ravindra Pratap Singh, widely known as R.P. Singh, is a prominent Indian playwright, poet, essayist, and critic who adeptly expresses himself in both English and Hindi. His father, Dr. Rajendra Bahadur Singh, was a freelance writer focusing on comparative religions, spirituality, political thought, and Indian culture, which likely influenced R.P. Singh's early exposure to literature and intellectual pursuits.
R.P.Singh's literary journey began during his high school years, where he started writing and publishing . He later pursued higher education at the University of Lucknow, eventually joining the Department of English and Modern European Languages as a faculty member. Currently, he serves as a Professor of English at the University of Lucknow where he not only imparts knowledge but also continues to hone his craft as a writer.
