Kelmend Karuni is an Albanian and Canadian filmmaker.

He has attended the University of arts in Tirana, Albania, majoring in Film Directing.

After attending the Sarajevo talent campus as a young director in 2008, he produced the short film "Frigidance" with Sarajevo City of Film. He has attended Berlinale talent campus as a young director in 2010 with the experimental documentary "Homophobia".

His documentary "The mysteries of Xhubleta" has won the best albanian documentary of the year in 2009.

In 2015 he directed the coming-of-age dramedy "Pijanece te ajrit t'eger", shown in national and regional cinemas.

His work array spans from documentaries to feature films, from music videos to commercials.

He lives and works between Toronto, Canada and Tirana, Albania.
