Employees' Trust Fund Board (commonly referred to as ETF) is a statutory board in Sri Lanka, Established by the Parliamentary Act No-46 of 1980, It's members consist of all private sector employees, and all Sri Lankan public sector employees who are not entitled to the government's pension scheme. Employers must remit 3% of their employee's gross earnings to the board monthly, making it a non-contributory benefit to its members.[1]
History
[edit]Employees' Trust Fund Board commended its operations under the Ministry of Labour on 1st of March 1981. Members can withdraw their relevant fund balances at the time of the retirement or once in a five year period of time, if their employment is changed.
