I'm a History student based in the city of Leeds in England. My most consistent historical interests are Spanish and Latin-American history, the development of various political philosophies (especially Liberalism and Anarchism), economic history in general, and more recently the histories of Persia and the Ottoman Empire. Regarding Spain, which is overall my main focus, a lot of my reading focuses on politics, government, and society in the unstable 19th century onwards: particularly Carlism, the monarchy in general and the reign of Isabella II, intellectual life, foreign relations and policy on the remaining colonies, regionalism, the dictatorship of Miguel Primo de Rivera, and the build up to the Spanish Civil War.
