This book is a good source for Wikipedia because it was published by HarperCollins Publishers and is peer reviewed. Lois Browne, the author, discovered the topic of women in baseball while researching for W5, CTV’s investigative news program, she is also a writer and an editor. This book’s thesis focuses on specific women who made history while playing professional baseball, but many of these women have been forgotten as the years have passed on. As an investigative journalist and writer, Browne conducted a lot of research for this book and is able to tell the stories of many women who played in the All-American League. This book will be helpful in providing more information about the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League as well as provide more information on Dottie Wiltse Collins’ playing career.

This book is a good source for Wikipedia because it was published by Greenwood Publishing Group, Inc. and has been peer reviewed. Gai Ingham Berlage, the author, is a Professor of Sociology at Iona College and has also written many articles regarding women in sports. Berlage’s thesis is that women have been a part of baseball in many different aspects for hundreds of years, and this participation is not that widely known. Many different sources were used throughout the text and there are extensive bibliographies after each specific section of the book. This book will provide more insight into the history of women in baseball and provide more information on Dottie Wiltse Collins’ time on the pitcher’s mound.

Barbara Gregorich, the author, has written many sports articles for USA Today and has won the SABR-Macmillan Award for Best Baseball Research of the Year. This book discusses the fact that women have been a part of baseball from the beginning of its popularity and especially focuses on the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. Gregorich used her knowledge of baseball to research and tell the stories of women who played or were a part of the game of baseball in one way or another. This book will provide some great insight into the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League as a whole and some more details about Dottie Wiltse Collins’ playing career.

This encyclopedia provides a lot of information all regarding women in baseball, whether they participated in games or were behind the scenes of teams. This encyclopedia provides a good biography of Dottie and had a lot of information about her life after she retired from baseball.

This biographical dictionary provides a short biography of Dottie Wiltse Collins, including some of her baseball statistics and her life before, during, and after her professional baseball career. There were five different sources used for this short, one-page biography on Dottie Wiltse Collins. Although this biography is on the shorter side, it provides a lot of information on Dottie’s personal life and playing career.
