I am very much interested in becoming an editor, and maybe even starting an article someday.

However, after navigating for the past hour, it has become obvious I'm starting at ground zero, maybe 5 below :o I'm not totally computer illiterate, but I'm not familiar with the formatting, what a sandbox is, the difference between source or visual editing...or even how to change my identity to something a bit more clever and my time zone.

I'm not asking for a one-on-one tutor, but I do best with very clear cut, step-by-step instructions. I'm just looking for the basics...any suggestions?
