Dr. George J. Sweetland (August 5, 1872 – March 29, 1954 ) was a physician as well as a coach of many sports including basketball, track and field and football at several American universities.
Early Life
[edit]Sweetland attended Union College and was graduate of Hobart College and the University of Michigan. A gifted athlete, Sweetland was on the varsity football team at Union and Hobart and He was was captain of the Union College football team in 1895.[1][2]
