" Neurodiversity is not just a matter of social justice, it is a matter of human rights. " – Judy Singer, author, and activist
User .allthefauna (Fauna) is a 15-year-old Wikipedia editor and human rights activist from the Midwestern United States. They are characterized by their unique perspective on the world, and their willingness to share their views with others.
Born in 2009 under the name Hannah, Fauna always had an interest in the nature around them. They would always play outside with the wind, and pretend to control it and move with it, as well as play with all the creatures outside. This sparked a love for the environment that would eventually snowball into a passion to fight for it, and all other things that they deem "damaged by humans".
They were raised in a Lutheran family, but the family's beliefs were never forced onto them, and they were free to believe whatever they wanted to. This didn't stop their grandparents from insisting they go to a Christian Sunday school, So between the ages of 4-10, they went to Church every Sunday to learn about the Lutheran practice of Christianity. However, they would always have something to say and questions to ask. They would frequently question the lessons the Bible was teaching and would point out inherently contradictory ones. This would eventually get worse by the time they started their Confirmation services, and in 2020, when they were 11, they would stop going to the Christian church altogether. That same year they downloaded the app TikTok and created an account, hoping that they could waste time scrolling. Instead, their eyes were opened to society and many subcultures within. This would be the beginning of a 4-year long identity crisis.
In early 2020, Fauna found a Gacha Life video detailing different labels in the LGBTQ+ community. They always thought that it was just normal to have an attraction to people of different sexes and to know that they were different, and they had a community for themself- they felt amazing! they decided to label themself Bisexual and to start being open about their experiences. With their parents' quick acceptance stance, they quickly got to research on the topic. A few months later, they started to stray from identifying as a girl, and looked into other genders as a possibility, noting specific ones such as "Nonbinary", "Transmasc", and "Agender", but one stood out the most to them. One that could explain why they felt like every gender. Genderfluid, the identity in which someone's gender identity is fluid, and is never solid.
Fauna started experimenting with names other than "Hannah", but noticed that none of them ever worked for long. They would constantly go back and forth with their pronouns, gender, and name, and would exhibit different personalities at different times. They started to do research on Dissociative Identity Disorder in 2021, after seeing a TikTok made by somebody with it. Their research hit most of the boxes with what they were experiencing, with only the lack of amnesia and loss of memories in between fronts. But then they started to question their validity, seeing as while they had trauma, it was very far apart and not severe enough to warrant such a response, not even a PTSD diagnosis. For this reason, and this reason alone, they would drop the label and continue with their fluid life. It would be 2 more years until they found out they were a system.
Around the same time they stumbled across the Alterhuman (Known on Wiki as Otherkin) Community. This community was full of unique individuals who identified as a non-human on a non-physical level. They immediately latched onto the term "Cat Therian", or a person who believes that they were either a cat in a past life, or a person who is psychologically wired like a cat. Being neurodivergent, they felt that the second one fit them, and started proudly using the term. However, they started receiving severe hate online by others, whom had figured out. In school they were bullied horribly, and were often told to do horrible things to themself. With that being said, they chose to stay strong, and embrace their labels.
