Introduction

[edit]

Hi, I'm \\'arrior 786 and welcome to my user page!

I am quite sharp-tongued, which explains why I am often felt left-out in school. I understand that I might be at fault, but the blame isn't all over me. I won't explain in detail about the incident. I am introverted and extroverted at the same time. My favourite hobby is using the computer and my favourite computer game is Grand Theft Auto V. My grades are better than I expected of myself in school despite the fact that I don't really study a lot. I spend 89% of my school holidays at home, either using the computer, eating, sleeping, writing or reading the newspaper. Article

What I edit on Wikipedia and why

[edit]

I vandalise user pages, unblock sockpuppets and insult people. Just kidding. :) Chill, man. Chill. I am a corrupted Wikipedia editor. I edit articles, mainly politics-related ones; answer + ask on the Teahouse, but not as often, cleaning up typo errors in articles and user pages, fixing things and a lot more.

I edit Wikipedia to bust those myths on saying Wikipedia "is a free encyclopedia that anyone can edit, therefore you cannot trust everything". I will try my best to make this website more trustworthy to our million readers, from different walks of life. Although the aforementioned speech might be a true in some articles, it does not mean that it applies to every article. This stereotype is always floating in people's minds, but they still read whatever they want to read here, as it is a research gather area which makes readers have an easier life, which saves time and saves the energy on thinking if the website they went to is a reliable source. As a result, people (in my class) always copy a large chunk with those reference tags from Wikipedia to PowerPoint, which makes Wikipedia lose its purpose as being an online, trustworthy encyclopedia site for everyone in the world.

Secondly, I edit Wikipedia because it is addictive (ask the veterans, don't look at me like that) and fun in a way. It is also like a social networking site if readers notice what is going on behind the scenes in Wikipedia, with WikiLoves posting in the corners of talk pages and award pages every passing minute. This makes us happy and delightful, with the mood to carry on and construct the website into a huge, bustling website just like shopping centres in the festive season.

Most embarrassing moments in Wikipedia

[edit]

Times where I actually felt embarrassed for doing these dumb things in Wikipedia, which almost got me into trouble. It is really funny, so...

  1. Quarrelling with a veteran editor about the Wiki policies.
  2. Blanking a page for no reason.
  3. Uploading and re-uploading the same thing on a file page.
  4. Almost getting blocked.
  5. Saving articles without making changes. (very often)
  6. Trying to seek revenge with an editor but failed.
  7. Leaving an open <big> at my talk page edit notice which screwed up everything. (my computer wasn't affected)
  8. Being a Teahouse Host at only 4 months' experience.
  9. Providing a newcomer with wrong information (oops).
  10. Wasting my time looking for a nonexistent WikiProject.
