"Unknown Number" is an epistolary science fiction short story by Blue Neustifter. It was first published as a thread on Twitter credited to "Azure" in 2021, and compiled into an ebook in 2023.

Via a series of text messages, Gaby — a trans woman — converses with a version of herself from a parallel universe where she never transitioned.
Reception
