Trey David Yesavage (born July 28, 2003) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Toronto Blue Jays organization. He was drafted 20th overall in the 2024 MLB draft by the Blue Jays.

Amateur career

Yesavage grew up in Boyertown, Pennsylvania and attended Boyertown Area High School.[1]

Yesavage spent his freshman season with the East Carolina Pirates as a relief pitcher and had a 4.50 ERA over 34 appearances.[2] He went 7-1 with a 2.61 ERA and 105 strikeouts as a sophomore.[3] After the season, Yesavage was selected to play for the Team USA Collegiate National Baseball Team.[4][5] He was named a preseason first-team All-American entering his junior season.[6]

Professional career

Yesavage was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 1st round, with the 20th overall selection, of the 2024 Major League Baseball draft. On August 1, 2024, Yesavage signed with Toronto on a $4.1 million contract.[7]
