The Glasshouse is a private event venue located in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. It opened in 2021 and is operated by GH Venues, a company that manages various event spaces.
History and overview
[edit]The Glasshouse was announced in 2018 and opened in 2021.[1][2][3][4] The venue occupies a 75,000 square feet building at 660 12th Avenue, with 50,000 square feet of event space and 25,000 square feet of auxiliary facilities.[5][6][7] It features two terraces, each over 1,500 square feet, with views of the Hudson River and the Manhattan skyline.[8][9][10][11][12]
The venue is part of the Glasshouses collection, which includes Glasshouse Chelsea and GH On the Park.[13][14] Gianluca Sardo joined The Glasshouse as director of operations in 2021 and became president in 2024.[15][16][17][18]
Design and facilities
[edit]The venue's interiors use neutral finishes for different event designs. It is equipped with audiovisual systems, including Dante-enabled audio, DMX-controlled lighting, and motorized shades. Facilities include lounges, green rooms, private restrooms, and VIP areas.

[edit]The Glasshouse is located at 660 12th Avenue, between 48th and 49th Streets, in Hell's Kitchen.[9][19][11][20] It is accessible by A/C/E subway lines at 50th Street and the 1/2/3 lines at Times Square.[21][22] Nearby transportation hubs include Penn Station and Grand Central Terminal.[21][22] The venue is also within driving distance of LaGuardia Airport,John F. Kennedy International Airport, and Newark Liberty International Airport.[21][22]
Events
[edit]Since its opening, The Glasshouse has hosted events for City Harvest, God's Love We Deliver, the 2024 Skift Meetings Forum, and the 2024 Pursuit Bash Gala.[5][23][1][24] The venue can accommodate up to 1,850 guests.[1][25][7][10][26]
Memberships
[edit]The Glasshouse became a member of the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) in 2022.[27]
