The Fire (Dib novel)
The Fire (L'Incendie) is a novel by Mohammed Dib, published in 1954.[1]
Plot
[edit]Fire in the Tlemcen region of Algeria, leads to social unrest between natives and colonials. The main character, Omar, is a witness to the conflict.[2][3][4]
Analysis
[edit]The novel examines the mixing of indigenous culture translated into the colonial French language.[5]
