Background

[edit]

The album marks Beanie Sigel's first studio album released on an independent record label following his departure from Def Jam Recordings. The project had been described by the label to be "like a mixtape". It was originally named The Focus but the title was then changed to The Broad Street Bully, which is also Beanie Sigel's nickname.
