That's TV 3 is a television channel owned by the That's TV network. That's TV 3 launched on 21 August 2024. It replaced That's Memories of which replaced That's 60s.[1]

History

[edit]

That's 60s

[edit]

The channel began as a music television channel focused on 1960s music called That's 60s,[2] with veteran disk jockey Tony Blackburn who chose to play the Move's "Flowers in the Rain" starting it, repeating the first song he played on BBC Radio 1.

Its name on the official That's TV website later changed to That's Dance, before being corrected to That's Memories.

On 1 July 2024, That's 60's was replaced by That's Memories on cable and satellite,[3] of which on Sky later moved to channel 191. That's 60s was later replaced by That's 80s (now That's Melody) on Freeview, closing down the channel. That's 60s is still available as a block on several That's TV channels.

That's Memories

[edit]

That's Memories replaced That's 60s on 1 July 2024. The new channel was focused on documentaries. Despite this, many music blocks that changed overtime aired during the morning, such as That's Dance, That's Rock Anthems, That's 70s and That's 60s.

That's TV 3

[edit]

That's TV 3 replaced That's Memories on 21 August 2024. The launch of the channel That's TV 3 saw the channel rebranded for a second time in a couple of months and appeared on the EPG 2 days after both That's Melody and That's Rock, channels which started out as That's 80s and That's 90s, on 21 August 2024.[1] This brought the channel inline with That's TV and That's TV 2, both of which are already being broadcast on Freeview and Sky and are both entertainment channels.

That's TV 3 was temporarily rebranded as That's Christmas on 16 October 2024.[4]

Content

[edit]

The content of That's TV 3 is similar to That's TV and That's TV 2, with a mix of music blocks and entertainment content.

Former content in That's Memories was based on history documentaries such as world war content. Content on the That's 60s block had 1960s music videos, which were limited due to many of 1960s music videos being wiped.

That's 60s

[edit]

That's 60s is a programming block on the That's TV channels and it was the original channel name of both That's TV 3 and That's Memories. It started off as a block on the local That's TV networks, before becoming a sole channel replacing Classic Hits. It aired on Sky channel 365 and Virgin Media channel 296 and Freeview channel 75 (77 in Greater Manchester). It was replaced by That's Memories on 1 July 2024 on cable and satellite, with That's 60s continuing as a morning programme block within that channel.[3] It was replaced by That's Melody (That's 80s at time of closure) on 17 July 2024 on the Freeview service.

That's 60s also airs as a block on That's TV 2 for the hour from 8:00-9:00am, with a That's 80s programming block airing right after.
