Reconstructionist is part of progressive
[edit]Please see
- [WUPJ] - reconstructionist congregations are members of the world union and/or a regional body
- In USA: http://wupj.org/Congregations/NorthAmerica.asp - Jewish Reconstructionist Federation - the US reconstructionist congregational association is a member of the World Union for Progressive Judaism.
- In Israel: reconstructionist congregations are members of the [Israeli Movement for Progressive Judaism. Example: Mevakshei Derech - Israeli congregation started by Mordechai Kaplan (and the father of some friends of mine). Is a member of IMPJ, but still uses reconstructionist Torah blessing (omits the bit about being a chosen people).

Beliefs and practices
[edit]The link has been changed to point to the Progressive Judaism article. The previous value of the link points to an article that is still under development, has serious problems with synthesis, errors of fact, and non-sequitors. Though I am sure the editor working on the article will eventually fix these problems, the article is not yet mature enough to function as a main article for Progressive Judaism beliefs and practices.
