Confusion
[edit]This is the only WikiProject I know of, that is NOT supposed to be placed on the talk page of a mainspace article. I would suggest merging this and {{Vital article}} template and have a conditional. Given that this is the lesser used template, I would have this template redirect to {{Vital article}} if it is a Talk page.
Alternatively, and more radical change, convert {{Vital article}} into this template, with a default of High/Vital importance. And all other transclusuons of this template should specify that there are "quality= Project/NA". I just don’t understand why we need confusingly named overlapping Templates of two technical types. ~ 🦝 Shushugah (he/him • talk) 11:37, 13 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Shushugah Agreed, though the merger needs to be careful since User:Cewbot uses {{Vital article}} to make the assessment list. CactiStaccingCrane (talk) 01:58, 14 January 2023 (UTC)
- I am working on an update to Template:Vital article. Please see comments at Template talk:Vital article#Make it use WPBannerMeta — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 13:41, 3 May 2023 (UTC)
