Template talk:WikiProject Gender studies tasks
Appearance
I'm a bit of a template newbie, but shouldn't all the categories added on the template be in the "noinclude" ? I added the template to my to do page and, voilà, now my user page appears on the project page. is that intended? --lquilter 23:35, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- Some should be in "noinclude" and others in "includeonly". It's a matter of whether you intend to categorize the template page itself or the pages in which it is included.
- I'm not sure what you mean by "my user page appears on the project page". Perhaps you included the name of your user page in double curly brackets somewhere, so that your user page was included in another page? - Jmabel | Talk 02:47, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks Jmabel -- it's my User:Lquilter/work page. I have added the "todo" template for Gender Studies tasks to my work-page. But once I did it, my User work page also was listed at Category:WikiProject_Gender_Studies and Category:Wikiproject Countering systemic bias. That's clearly not right. So either, this template is not meant to be included on user pages (although it's a to-do, and the other similar templates are confugured to be put on user pages); or I've done something wrong; or there's something wrong on the template? If you have a moment & can look at the page & template I'd appreciate it. --lquilter 04:33, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
- I put all of the categories inside the noinclude element: they are to categorize this template, not the pages that include it. - Jmabel | Talk 07:42, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
