Greater Morocco and Polisario defection
[edit]What? The edit summary "The topic of the defection of top leaders is more important than 'Greater Morocco'" is outlandish for two reasons: 1.) Greater Morocco was the impetus for the Sahara conflict, and 2.) to have a list of defectors from Polisario, without a link to Polisario in the first place is POV at best. -Justin (koavf)·T·C·M 22:55, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
Greater Morocco
[edit]Because there is no source connecting the label "Greater Morocco" to the Western Shara conflict, I deleted the article from the template.S710 13:31, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
Spanish Morocco?
[edit]Huh? Why is this even on the template? This territory is irrelevant to the Sahara conflict (it's not even in the Sahara.) Also, the Greater Morocco ideology is, in fact, related to the conflict, so why would you remove it? -Justin (koavf)·T·C·M 14:04, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- As to Greater Morocco, see S710's answer above. Spanish Morocco is all the territory that Spain occupied from Morocco in the North and the South. --A Jalil 15:04, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- Greater Morocco and Spanish Morocco I honestly have no idea how you can claim that. Clearly, the Greater Morocco ideology is related to the Sahara conflict, right? Your claim about Spanish Morocco is simply wrong:
- The territories of Spanish Morocco included northern Morocco (the territory in between the cities of Ceuta and Melilla, which have been Spanish since the 16th century and 15th century respectively), also the Tarfaya Strip, and Ifni. The capital of Spanish Morocco was Tetuán (Tétouan).
- Rio de Oro and Saguia el-Hamra were never administered as Spanish Morocco. If this is in fact the case, there is no justification for including Spanish Morocco on this list, right? -Justin (koavf)·T·C·M 15:10, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- Greater Morocco and Spanish Morocco I honestly have no idea how you can claim that. Clearly, the Greater Morocco ideology is related to the Sahara conflict, right? Your claim about Spanish Morocco is simply wrong:
- The subject Spanish Morocco is very relevant to the history of Western Sahara. The territory of Western Sahara was one of the many parts in this region that was occupied by the Spanish. For an understanding of the context this information is necessary.S711 19:40, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- Right So was Equatorial Guinea; so? -Justin (koavf)·T·C·M 05:56, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
Intifadas
[edit]Why? Why would you delete these intifadas? They are relevant to the Sahara conflict, aren't they? Would you delete the Palestinian intifadas from a "Israel-Palestine conflict" template? -Justin (koavf)·T·C·M 15:55, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Deleting and renaming
[edit]Why? Jalil, why do you keep on deleting relevant articles? And renaming one of them? And keep the Zemla Intifada, but deleting the Independence Intifada, even though the latter is more germane? -Justin (koavf)·T·C·M 16:18, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- Which relevant articles?. Greater Morocco? This is inexistent in Morocco as a concept. How can it be treated as a fact?. Zemla uprising is the correct wording. Actually the Zemla sit-in would more appropriate if you read about the details of what happened at the Zemla. There were more riots in Algeria in 2007 than in the Sahara. I never heard anyone talking about intifadas in Algeria. So forget about making the sporadic small disturbances as part of the template.--A Jalil 18:57, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Sit-in? About a dozen protesters were killed and several wounded; that's hardly a sit-in. Greater Morocco is relevant, regardless of whether or not you've heard of it or Algerian intifadas or anything else. These are relevant articles and you are deleting them. Also, you completely ignored a simple and direct question that I asked you. -Justin (koavf)·T·C·M 19:15, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
map on the box
[edit]The map is not really adapted to historical uses, i replaced it with a map from the beginnings of the past century. Regards. -Dzlinker (talk) 19:40, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
