Template talk:Acad

This template is a Citation Style 1 specific-source template based on {{Cite encyclopedia}}. For centralised Citation Style 1 discussions, see Help talk:Citation Style 1.

Template:Acad is permanently protected from editing because it is a heavily used or highly visible template. Substantial changes should first be proposed and discussed here on this page. If the proposal is uncontroversial or has been discussed and is supported by consensus, editors may use {{edit template-protected}} to notify an administrator or template editor to make the requested edit. Usually, any contributor may edit the template's documentation to add usage notes or categories.

Any contributor may edit the template's sandbox. Functionality of the template can be checked using test cases.

Website offline

I've been doing a bit of reference updating and noticed that http://venn.lib.cam.ac.uk/ seems to be offline, therefore this template isn't functional. It isn't something I'm familiar with so I don't know if this is a temporary issue. I had a quick look at archive.org and there are some images of the site, but I don't know enough to suggest it as an idea. Trappedinburnley (talk) 13:04, 9 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I've updated the sandbox to use the new url. These appear to work.

"Mason, John". A Cambridge Alumni Database. University of Cambridge. missing id.

I'll update the live template in a bit after I've tried a few others.
