Discussion about qualifier in non-administrator template
[edit]Just because one doesnt want to be an admin doesnt make one anti admins, hence I moved the page, SqueakBox 02:38, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
The bit about not wanting to be one is just so much POV, SqueakBox 10:46, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
- I really disagree with SqueakBox' changes. This is not a POV issue, and even if it were WP:NPOV applies to the article namespace, not user templates. Expressing a desire to be or not be something is not a point of view since it is inherently one's own feelings. User essays are non-NPOV, yet they remain in project space. This is ridiculous. - There's a really easy fix to this, folks. Since the actual name of the template was changed, I'm simply re-creating the original template with the original content. I hope this is a suitable conclusion to the issue, as it means SqueakBox (per his note on my talkpage, feel free to check it) will have the template he desires, and the template I and others continue to desire will continue to exist. :-) Anchoress 21:39, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- I've actually just changed this template to support both versions through the use of a parameter. Whatever solution you folks can come up with is fine with me though, since I don't use it. BigNate37(T) 21:50, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's just that I'd already fixed it another way. Thanks a lot for trying, anyway. I think my solution is better because then folks with the userbox can be added to two different categories. Please don't take offence at my reversion of your change. Anchoress 21:55, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

I think we should keep pov out of the wikipedia space, that is what user pagfes are for, SqueakBox 21:52, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
I was continuously getting mistaken for an admin so having this box at the top of my talk page clarifies that I am not. I dont like the admin election process and anm unlikely to put myself up for that and being an admin would probably hinder rather than help me here but I recognise that without admins this project would fail. Best wishes to you both for a prosperous new year, SqueakBox 21:57, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
My problem with this is that the edit history has now vanished from {{User wikipedia/Anti-Administrator}}. The move should have been reverted if the template was to be changed and a new page created. This needs to be fixed. AuburnPilottalk 07:57, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
