Citizenship
[edit]I remember an academic from the former Yugoslavia being interviewed on the Today programme circa 1993, and trying to explain the ethnic divisions between Serbs and Croats. When he asked how he identified himself ethnically, he said as 'a citizen of the Galaxy'.
This userbox also echoes the self-description of the Doctor in response to the accusation that he is English:
Your ideas are too narrow, too crippled. I am a citizen of the universe, and a gentleman to boot.
