"Offensive" description
[edit]The text of this userbox (and related ones) is not intended to give offense. It is modeled on orthography used on the Lowlands-L website, which supports the study and appreciation of Appalachian and other dialects of English and related languages. I'm pointing this out because the userbox text was altered by an anonymous user who commented that it was "offensive." I am sure the text could be improved, but I don't see a reason to break with the pattern of using the relevant language or dialect, as is done in most other userboxes of this type. Would any representation of Appalachian English give offense? — ℜob C. alias ᴀʟᴀʀoʙ 16:56, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
