Table code

Hey @BrownHairedGirl: any reason why this uses the html style of table code and not the normal wiki code? --Gonnym (talk) 07:16, 8 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Gonnym: I copied the format from another catnav template which I had made work only by using HTML. That was a Lua-generate tabled, so wiki markup may stand a better chance here, but I wanted to retain the maxwidth calculations (to leave room on the right for portals and/or commons) and ISTR finding that they don't work with wiki markup.

Feel free to try a wikified version if you like, but personally I'd say life is too short

PS I recall now that the problem is that we have no CSS classes for cat navigation templates. The closest we have is CatToC classes, but they have weird effects when used for non-TIC tasks such as this. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 22:27, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

But is there a reason this needs to be a ToC? It doesn't act like a ToC, as in, it doesn't link to sections in this page. --Gonnym (talk) 09:10, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
