ROI is not in the United Kingdom and 'Nationwide' implies jurisdiction across the UK (non-existent). Otherwise, good work ;) ninety:one 20:48, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Per Ninetyone and my note on your talk page, it is really inappropriate to classify the Gardaí as a "British" police force. They are (at a stretch) a "Police force of the British Isles". And even then there is an assumption that it is appropriate to "bundle" these forces within a geographical context. Is there a particular relationship between the police forces of Ireland and the UK that we are trying to highlight with this template? As opposed to (say) the "Specialist Police units of Europe"? Is there a special relationship between these forces? Other than being geographically close-by? If not I'd reconsider the context for this navbox. And (as above) at the very least it needs relabelling and renaming. Guliolopez (talk) 13:40, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, they are the specialist police units. I will remove the ROI. Police,Mad,Jack (talk · contribs) 13:42, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK. Fair enough. I had "hidden" the ROI section of the template until we figured this out, but it looks like we are agreed, so I'll just remove it altogether. Guliolopez (talk) 14:08, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
