Template talk:Schengen Agreement Labelled Map
San Marino is interested? Haven't seen any source for that... And Switzerland should be green... —Nightstallion 19:16, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Unreadable labels
[edit]I've added breaks to try and make the bottom labels more readable, though they now go outside the box. They were unreadable on my screen. Can anyone fix this better? -- Kendrick7talk 05:36, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
- This map renders poorly in my IE6 browser, with the labels going outside the box and, on the Schengen Agreement page, covered up in part by another picture. I'll try reverting Kendrick's change until somebody comes up with a solution that satisfies his requirement for readable labels and doesn't also break the rendering. - I also changed the labels to "small". It doesn't look perfect, but it's not broken any more. Robert K S (talk) 16:34, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
- Better, but it still reads here as "Implemented memb" and "Set to implement la" -- Kendrick7talk 20:46, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
- Well, images labeled by this method are just kind of lousy. There doesn't seem to be good compatibilty between different systems. Robert K S (talk) 23:06, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

Lower text still unreadable at default text size on Firefox 2.0.0.12. [1] See? --85.5.47.205 (talk) 03:57, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
Malta
[edit]Is Malta on this map? It's part of the Schengen Agreement so it should be in blue. Maybe it is just too small to be visible to the naked eye? I might suggest that the Schengen area be outlined in black; it would make small countries like Malta more distinctive, and would also show more clearly the non-countries like Andorra that are enclosed by the Schengen area but not part of it. --Mathew5000 (talk) 09:59, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
- Well I can clearly see two or three blue Maltese pixels and at least 7 Andorran pixels. San Marino and the Vatican are also two visible, grey dots. When I made it, I thought of this map as an illustration of the borderless Schengen area, not a map showing individial Schengen countries. - . . 22:23, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
- I can't see Malta but it's probably just my computer resolution. I can see Andorra, but because of an optical illusion it appears to me as white rather than grey. I know that it is actually grey, but enclosed by the blue area, I think that if you didn't already know what it was, you might assume it was a lake or something, rather than non-Schengen territory. It isn't a big deal, I was not intending to criticize your work, just making a suggestion. --Mathew5000 (talk) 19:08, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

Edit wars?
[edit]Dear User:Ssolbergj, before you change the template next time, please discuss with other users what you are going to do. I do not like edit wars. --DanSchultz (talk) 22:31, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
NEW MAP CREATED - Rep of Ireland is not a ratified member of Schengen in any way - including the Police and Judicial Cooperation measures
[edit]Hello - on the talk page for the Schengen Area, there is a request to update the Schengen Templage map according to the legal ratification process that are legislated. In that regard, Republic of Ireland is has not received by European Union decision the putting into effect of the Schengen acquis in any way whatsoever.
Refer to the letter from the Dept of Justice Equality and Law Reform of the Irish Republic, as cited on that page.
A correct version of the original file is already created . [2]
How to update this into the version with cited on the actual page (with tags), is that I am kindly requesting someone to assist with.
Thanks
