Question
[edit]What use is this? The writing is completely illegible to the non-russian, yet this is designed to furnish references to Russian articles in English Wikipedia. It should be translated or deleted. --Ohconfucius ¡digame! 17:25, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
- As you've correctly noted, this template is used to simplify the process of furnishing a particular type of legal references (normally in cases where English-language sources of comparable quality do not exist), as well as to make the task of updating those references more manageable (in Russia, fresh amendments come in once every few months; sometimes even more often than that). In full accordance with WP:NOENG, the references are supposed to be in Russian (as that is their original language), and, also per WP:NOENG, for readers' convenience the template also provides means to add an English translation. I would say 99% of this template's transclusions do have an English translation, as well as the original title, so I don't understand what you are panicking about :)—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); June 6, 2012; 18:10 (UTC)
