Does this really need to be numbered in the template? It does not seem to be in any other similar template (eg Template:Theresa May, Template:David Cameron or Template:Liz Truss) and it is also complicated by the fact that although Bonar Law was technically the first person to officially hold the title (after the fallout from the Carlton Club meeting), nearly every serious historian would accept that for most of the previous 100 years there was a recognised Conservative Party leader and several books lists of Conservative Party leaders will start with Robert Peel. Ultimately I do not really think the number adds anything to the template and so I would suggest removing it. I am also not convinced his other offices need to be numbered either.
