Peak service

[edit]

@Lost on Belmont and Useddenim: The "rush hour service" using Green Line tracks isn't mentioned in the article. Does this actually exist? Jc86035 (talk) Use {{re|Jc86035}}

I dunno. It's been years since I was in Chicago. Useddenim (talk) 11:29, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Cards84664, would you know anything about this? Jc86035 (talk) Use {{re|Jc86035}}

Jc86035 I believe that is a remnant from when the Green line was undergoing repairs. As noted in the Red Line article: "The 13th street portal was used again for regular 'L' service from May 19, 2013, until October 19, 2013, because Red Line trains were rerouted to the Green Line's South Side Main Line tracks and terminated at Ashland/63rd during the five months of the Red Line South Reconstruction Project."

The remnant map template matches this description. Cards84664 (talk) 14:25, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Cards84664: So should the Green Line stations currently not served by Red Line trains be omitted from the diagram? Jc86035 (talk) Use {{re|Jc86035}}

Jc86035 It appears so, I can't find any mention of it in use today. Cards84664 (talk) 14:35, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The template is correct as it is. Select rush hour trains use the Green Line tracks to Ashland due to work on 95th. See this from CTA. Lost on  Belmont 3200N1000W  (talk) 04:11, 8 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
