Farce
[edit]This is the biggest farce I have ever seen. Since when were Wymondham, and a few otheres on the proposed section, proposed stations? ACBestDog and Bone Have I reverted an edit by you, and got it wrong? Tell me! 22:41, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
- I have edited the template which now has two sections. 1 - National Rail stations and 2 - Heritage railway stations. A third section (closed railway stations) could be added but this would be very large and not all of those stations have articles yet. Maybe that could be a separate template for closed railway station articles? -=# Amos E Wolfe talk #=- 01:44, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
The proposed stations referred to are on the proposed Norfolk Orbital Railway. While a number of the stations are already open as heritage railway stops, the addition to the proposed section is because this would mean they would be new stations on the National Rail network. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.140.29.141 (talk) 02:33, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, the proposed section refers to the planned orbital rail network thing, which is a community rail project. It is endorsed by both the North Norfolk and Mid Norfolk Railways, and has apparently recently secured National Rail backing. While I can see why it would bother some people that existing heritage stations are being listed as 'proposed', a solution might be to create a third 'proposed' section, listing just those proposed stations not currently open (Holt, Melton Constable, Thursford, Fakenham.etc). As for disused stations, I have already started a seperate template for them, as there are a lot! At least three times as many as there are existing stations User:Lord Cornwallis
