[edit]I removed the redirect to Template talk:R from initialism because initialism ≠ abbreviation. Senator2029 “Talk” 20:30, 15 December 2018 (UTC)

Change the "name" parameter from "From an initialism" to "From an abbreviation". As the rest of the description indicates, the template isn't for redirects from an initialism; T:R from initialism is for that!

Handle the |of= parameter

Please port the code for |of=
(a.k.a. |1=
) handling, from any similar template, e.g. {{R from alternative spelling}}
. This is useful in cases where a term and various abbreviations of it redirect to some other term. — AReaderOutThataway t/c 20:56, 11 August 2019 (UTC)
