Update to RISM Online
[edit]We have recently undertaken a project to update the Wikidata identifiers to point to RISM Online. I would propose to update this template to do the same. The identifier numbers will be the same, just the website they point to will be updated. Please let me know if there are any objections.

- To clarify: instead of linking to
- https://opac.rism.info/search?id=467004203&Language=en which seems to be converted internally at RISM to
- https://opac.rism.info/rism/Record/rism467004203?id=467004203&Language=en the new scheme would link to
- https://rism.online/sources/467004203 ? Seems uncontroversial to me. OTOH, I don't understand why such a simple link has to jump through the hoop of {{Catalog lookup link}}. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 03:15, 9 April 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, exactly. We're undertaking an internal project to normalize and fix our citations in other databases so we can present a more consistent and long-term linking scheme.
- I'm not sure why it was written for the catalog lookup link -- perhaps for the formatting of the citation, and for the default behaviours?
- I will make the change, since I'm not sure how long I should wait for other replies. But if anyone does come along that has an objection or questions, I will keep an eye on this discussion. Ahankins (talk) 10:15, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
