[edit]Rationale
[edit]This navigational template was designed to facilitate navigating from one landmark to another in what was once "downtown Constantinople." Student7 20:40, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- Why not have just landmarks of Istanbul? Will it be too big? DenizTC 03:14, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- To be honest, I was not familiar with them all. The following may be a good Wikitravel reason but a poor Wikipedia one - all were within walking distance of each other. Chora/"St. Savior" and Topaki were "a ways" away from the others. Of course, the modern city may have a lot more. But I wasn't interested in the modern ones. All these listed were on the European side. My idea of navigating was to get the reader interested in these "together" and maybe furnish updates accordingly. Anyway.
- Thanks for your interest. Student7 11:06, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
Hagia Irene
[edit]Hagia Irene seems a bit too small an attraction for this template. Can hardly visit the inside. Kind of a minor distraction from visiting the palace. Like visiting the great wall or something. The original idea was to put the major attractions in here which Irene definitely is not IMO. Student7 (talk) 11:08, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
