The reason for collapsible templates is that it reduces the space these templates normally take up. Look at Havana for example and see how much the four templates take up. It is easier all round to have a default collapsed state rather than having to include the state in the article code. It doesn't bother me if you want to keep it open, but I just felt for a reader it would be better to have it collapsed and not be overwhelmed by four fully open templates.
