Really I don't understand how this Public Domain is applicable under US law. I see that PD-Poland and similar PD-template contain a disclaimer that is: This image was uploaded under good faith using the above tag: however, it may be under United States copyright if it was first published on or after January 1, 1923. ... Iran, Iraq and a few other countries are in a confused state with their copyrights: The United States doesn't recognize them, however we do, so there was a brief change in the meaning of this template. 68.39.174.238 15:49, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
