Modifications to ladder
[edit]Firstly, I made the change to the template without discussing it first on the talk page after reading the BOLD, revert, discuss cycle page. Please see Don't revert due to no consensus before reverting the page back to the old format if you don't like the changes. The changes should be discussed by all and a consensus reached before any edits are accepted or rejected. Also, whatever consensus is reached in this template's sister template, the NRL 2009 Ladder template, should be also used in this template because of the similarities and connections between the two templates.
I made the changes to the template because I wanted to show in real time if a particular team has made the finals, or is out of contention to make the finals. When it gets to about the last 4 rounds of the season, a lot of time is spent on TV, radio and in the newspapers about what a team needs to do to make the finals. I wanted to find a way to show any people looking at this ladder on Wikipedia if a particular team has made the finals or is out of contention to make the finals. Whenever I read the newspapers, there is never a mention on the actual ladder if any team have made the finals or not. Also, people in another part of the world don't have any papers to look at that covers the National Youth Competition. Lindblum (talk) 11:38, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
Hello all users of this template,
Someone has gone and reverted back the edits I made to this template without a discussion started or consensus reached over the changes made. I do believe that Wikipedia recommends that we get together as a group, act with civility, and discuss the changes proposed before a new consensus is reached. I look forward to hear what all of you have to say over the changes that I have proposed. Lindblum (talk) 15:15, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
