Merger
[edit]There are two templates this one called UK music and which has British Music at the top and Template:Britishmusic, which, ironically, has Music of the United Kingdom at the top. Suggest a merger, combining the features of both. My preferred title would be "Music of the British Isles", since both include places that are in the British Isles but not in Britain or the United Kingdom.--Sabrebd (talk) 23:25, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Template needs to be moved to the bottom
[edit]This template overcrowds several important articles. Please see for yourself at:
- Music of the United Kingdom (1950s and 60s)
- Music of the United Kingdom (1970s)
- Music of the United Kingdom (1980s)
- Music of the United Kingdom (1990s)
- Music of the United Kingdom (2000s)
The template makes it almost impossible to fit in the images of the notable artists of each decade (as it is done here for example).
Therefore, in my opinion, the template should fit at the bottom of each page. Any objections? TheCuriousGnome (talk) 17:50, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry but I object. Its normal to have the template at the top, the template is not overcrowding, although it may be making it hard to fit a lot of pictures in. It may just be possible to fit pictures to the left. I am opening up a discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Music of the United Kingdom#Pictures in popular music articles so that we can get a general discussion rather than have 5 or 6.-- SabreBD (talk) 19:08, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
- I put another map in from Wikipedia Commons, not sure if it works.-- SabreBD (talk) 12:50, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
