Should there be a version of Template:Mojo title which can be copied and pasted onto a film page?71.96.209.92 (talk) 11:29, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. The www prefix works fine, is there any particular reason why this should be changed? Huntster (t@c) 19:52, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Also moved everything to a /doc page, so non-admins can add interwikis etc. Huntster (t@c) 05:01, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"American film Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince": C'est what?

[edit]

Sorry, it's British. Perhaps you could turn the sound up higher so you can HEAR IT.
If you want a US film example, how about Encino Man?
Where exactly do British, Canadian, and Australian films fit in here?
To us, the US is a foreign country, very very foreign most of the time, so therefore our films are "International", are they?
Varlaam (talk) 18:05, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, that was my complete idiot mistake. Basically, Mojo separates films based on "domestic" (primarily U.S.) or "foreign" (everywhere else) primary market. While HP is a British film series, its primary release has been the U.S., so that's how the site categorises it. You're right, though; it isn't a good example in this circumstance...I used it because it was already in the documentation, and didn't think about that issue. I've changed it to Avatar, which is a very widely known American film. See if the new wording makes the INTL field clearer.
To answer your other question: basically, when using Mojo, see if a film can be located by the search function. If it can, leave out the INTL field. If it can't, click on "International" under the Box Office header, search there, and use the INTL field. Huntster (t @ c) 21:06, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings and felicitations. The link for Her ({{mojo title|id=her2013|Her}}) isn't working, as the template apparently ignores the "2013" in the ID, resulting in a URL of http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=her.htm, instead of the correct http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=her2013.htm. Would someone please be so kind as to fix this, or at least tell me how I should be entering the ID?—DocWatson42 (talk) 04:46, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You didn't format the template correctly. You can't mix named and unnamed params. I've fixed with {{mojo title|id=her2013|title=Her}}. Huntster (t @ c) 05:34, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
(Very belatedly) Oh! Okay. Thank you! ^_^—

[edit]

Everyone, all links provided by this template is broken due to all boxofficemojo.com links redirecting to a web page at Internet Movie Database. I've started a discussion at WikiProject Film's talk page about this; you can reach it here. Thanks, Erik (talk | contrib) (ping me) 19:23, 10 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"accessdate" parameter

[edit]

Why doesn't this template have an accessdate parameter like the Cite template? If it had this parameter it could be used much more universally in film articles. Sandrobost (talk) 11:42, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
