Color scheme
[edit]I see no reason to deviate from the standard as per wp:deviations. Please discuss here before adding superfluous coloring. Thank you. Frietjes (talk) 23:54, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
You see no reason, therefore it must not be? Please tell the entire state of California, the state with by far the most city entries, that their yellow color scheme for cities is "superfluous" and must be changed because city templates should all be the same dull grey color. Many cities used various colors, usually based on their flag, for their template boxes and only recently did anyone decided to change them to the default setting. Besides, the wikipage you've linked to twice does nothing to support your argument (which is merely that you don't think it needs to be changed. I don't think it's necessary for Harvard's templates to be crimson and white, but I there's no reason for me to be a dick and change it to the default settings because I think that's how it should be.). The section merely states "If some template or specific color scheme deviates from the standard, its authors should make sure that it meets accessibility requirements such as providing enough color contrast," which it did. But, since this seems to be so important for your personal obsession, I'm not going to bother changing it back. Hell, let's change all templates into colorless bars so that they can all blend together and finally become completely useless as a tool for convenient page navigation.Dsetay (talk) 18:57, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
