Also please avoid phrases that seem logically impossible or distracting (e.g. use (Last name) gave birth to..., not He gave birth to....
This sentence actually points towards the point of view that a trans man is a she during this period. Any comments?? Georgia guy (talk) 13:21, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
- The "logically impossible" clause, which comes from MOS:IDENTITY if I recall right, and has always struck me as a source of trouble to begin with--but changing that would have to start at over at MOS. The example I don't think anyone is attached to, although I do feel that that part of MOS:IDENTITY requires some amount of guidance, and that some example is required. Do you have an alternate wording, example, something that might be better? --j⚛e deckertalk 15:27, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
- Actually, the MOS wording is a bit better, I feel... "Nevertheless, avoid confusing or seemingly logically impossible text that could result from pronoun usage (for example: instead of He gave birth to his first child, write He became a parent for the first time)." --j⚛e deckertalk 15:28, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
