No Documentation
[edit]This template has no documentation. It needs documentation for lunar eclipse articles to be consistent. Some use the template some don't. Please add documentation. If not I will just start removing these templates from articles. --TimL (talk) 13:21, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry I've not gotten back to the lunar eclipses which I did first, and did better on the solar eclipses second. I updated the link above that references the templates in terms of what was done, but I've not worked on formal documentation. The intention is very simple, harder to set up than to use. Ultimately it is just a table of eclipse data that can be reused in stat tables per event. This makes it easier to systematically update, and reduce errors. Events are grouped in files under their saros number. Tom Ruen (talk) 02:04, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
- It looks like my original doc was deleted, and renamed for a specific series: Template:Lunarsaros133_db/doc Tom Ruen (talk) 02:06, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks! I still feel a bit clueless. Does one of the templates need to be created for each saros? Is the idea that for a particular lunar eclipse you use the template for the saros series from which it is from? --TimL (talk) 02:55, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
- Looks like I need to read up on templates. Any shortcuts you can give, I appreciate, thanks. --TimL (talk) 02:59, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
