I'm not sure if the TALKPAGENAME magic keyword will work properly if placed in this template, which is transcluded by various edit notices. If it will, then can you change the text "discussion page" to use this magic keyword as the link target? If not, can you remove the link, and change the text to "discussion page for this article"? isaacl (talk) 18:17, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
- It's transcluded by five edit notices, these being for the pages listed at Template talk:Editnotices/Page/List of Major League Baseball pitchers with 200 career wins. None of them are talk pages. Where are you seeing a problem? --Redrose64 (talk) 19:55, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
- Currently, the text "discussion page" in this template links to Talk:List of Major League Baseball pitchers with 200 career wins, which is inappropriate for the most recently created edit notices using this template. If it is possible to replace the link target with something that will automatically link to the talk page for the article in question, then I would like this to be done. I'm not sure if using the TALKPAGENAME magic keyword will work as I don't know how the software will choose to expand this when included in a edit notice. If there isn't a way to automatically link to the talk page for the article in question, then I'd like the text to be changed to "discussion page for this article" and the link target removed. isaacl (talk) 06:49, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
- OK, I understand now, Donefixed. --Redrose64 (talk) 13:07, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
- Would you also add the edit notice to List of Major League Baseball players with 1,000 runs and List of top 100 Major League Baseball strikeout pitchers? Or if you would rather one of us implement, let us know. Zepppep (talk) 02:42, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
- Done I've created Template:Editnotices/Page/List of Major League Baseball players with 1,000 runs and Template:Editnotices/Page/List of top 100 Major League Baseball strikeout pitchers - editnotices may only be created or edited by administrators. --Redrose64 (talk) 13:24, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks again for your work! Another article needing your help adding the template: List of Major League Baseball players with 4,000 total bases. Zepppep (talk) 01:11, 16 September 2012 (UTC)
