This image could use an update. Mississippi has legalized medical cannabis as of November 4, 2020.
This image is very difficult to read for people with poor eyesight due to the lack of contrast among the colors used as the key. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.32.70.145 (talk) 19:08, 1 January 2018 (UTC)
Proposal for new map scheme
[edit]Just wanted to let everyone know that a new map scheme has been proposed on WikiProject Cannabis, so your feedback would be welcome.--Jamesy0627144 (talk) 13:20, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
Cities that have legalized
[edit]In regards to the note: "Some cities and Indian Reservations have legalization policies separate from their surrounding states" – what are some of these cities? I know some have passed resolutions making cannabis enforcement the lowest priority, but I wouldn't really consider cannabis legal there. I'm thinking about removing mention of the word "cities".--Jamesy0627144 (talk) 17:25, 7 January 2018 (UTC)
- Tweaked legend. This might get out of hand but listed some major cities. ☆ Bri (talk) 05:02, 7 March 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Bri. I think cities decriminalizing is something better addressed as a note down below, same as how federal enclaves and Indian reservations are addressed. At the same time though, the notes section is getting pretty long and adding another one is probably not the best idea. So, as a solution, I'm thinking change:
- "Some Indian reservations have legalization policies separate from the states they are located in."
- to
- "Some cities and Indian reservations have policies separate from the states they are located in."
- That way cities are covered and there is no need to add another note. What do you think? This will be same as the note originally was before January 10th BTW, except with the word "legalization" removed.--Jamesy0627144 (talk) 08:32, 7 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Jamesy0627144: @Bri: Frankly, the simplest thing would be to wikilink the phrases to Timeline_of_cannabis_laws_in_the_United_States#Municipal and Timeline_of_cannabis_laws_in_the_United_States#Indian_reservations, that way we have just one consolidated place to keep updated. - Would it be possible to construct mockups of the competing proposals, then have a project-sponsored critique and consensus? For a start here's one with major cities shown. ☆ Bri (talk) 14:58, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
