I've reverted the bold template expansion, which introduced a large amount of OR. Jihadism is a recent neologism referring to a particular type of militant movements. The expansion of the template introduced dubious links to other phenomena related to the notion of Jihad and to various other categories. It also clogged up the template with overly specific articles which are (or should be) accessible through more general articles. Eperoton (talk) 21:30, 2 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You seem unfamiliar with how templates work. Links aren't included there just because an editor thinks there's a connection between the subjects. The rule of thumb (WP:BIDIRECTIONAL) is that a link is listed in a template when the template is transcluded in the article, and that happens when the article has enough coverage of the subject to do so with due weight (WP:BALASP). Some articles included in the template transclude the template because a significant portion of the article is about jihadism, and others (like Qutbism) do so because the subject is significant largely because of its influence on jihadism (upon closer inspection, for some, like Taliban, the inclusion seems questionable, but that's a different topic). That's not the case for any of the articles you're trying to include. Nor does Jihadism have substantial coverage of those subjects. To have a policy-based rationale for inclusion, you should develop properly sourced content linking the subjects in the body of those articles first.
