Expansion
[edit]I am faced with two options, create a new Infobox for Infobox UK housing estate or to extend Infobox housing project to display the specify fields required to describe a housing estate that has be designed, built, listed, vilified, modified, privatised. A housing project that may take up 80% of a London borough and need most of the details found in UK place. I am thinking very much of a entity in Wikidata and the assertions they need to establish and find to enable auto translation into other languages. Structured data. At the moment I wish to start by adding Undefined dictionary pairs into Infobox housing project templates for a few sample sites to test data capture feasibility. This wont be visible here but can be seen on the pages: Totterdown Fields, Park Hill, Sheffield, Cressingham Gardens, The Meadows, Nottingham. Then I will consider adding them to the template, so the data will be rendered. As always, helpful suggestions welcome.--ClemRutter (talk) 09:22, 5 April 2016 (UTC)

- I don't see a problem with adding fields to this template as long as it is OK to leave them blank.
- Maybe you can correct some problems with the current template. I don't understand status as the instructions say, "this should often be left blank, as the template will attempt to either fill in Completed, Under Construction, Demolished, Destroyed, or Never Built. To override the status added by the template, please assign something to this parameter." Seems to contract itself but I may be missing something. It filled in "Proposed" until I added "completed." - The documentation is inaccurate. Currently, the template will add "Demolished" to the
|status=
parameter if the|demolished=
parameter has been manually filled in; otherwise it adds "Proposed" to the status parameter. There's no logic that allows the template to add "Completed", "Never built", or any other value. The template originally included logic to add "Constructed" if a construction date was manually specified, but that was changed in this edit by WOSlinker. – Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 17:14, 28 July 2019 (UTC)- I only converted it to use the infobox template. The logic for the status field was kept the same. I think it may be best to update it to not put in "Proposed" automatically and only do the demolisted automatically. And also update the docs to match. -- WOSlinker (talk) 18:21, 28 July 2019 (UTC)
- @WOSlinker: Ugh, I misread the code. I apologize for misrepresenting your edit. I personally think that the infobox should not automatically fill in the status field. I can't think of any way for it to accurately provide values like "Proposed" or "Never built". And having the template automatically fill in "Demolished" seems redundant to me—there's no need to state this if a specific date of demolition has already been provided. Would you be opposed to just removing the logic entirely? – Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 19:54, 29 July 2019 (UTC)
- @Lord Bolingbroke: I would be fine with just the simple {{{status|}}} parameter on it's own. -- WOSlinker (talk) 19:57, 29 July 2019 (UTC)
- @WOSlinker: Alright, I've implemented this to the template and updated the documentation. – Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 20:22, 29 July 2019 (UTC)

Map
[edit]Is there any way to add a map to this template? Liverpoolpics (talk) 08:39, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
Coordinates problems
[edit]I believe some recent changes to this infobox have resulted in errors due to broken coordinate values ("Lua error in Module:Mapframe at line 379: attempt to perform arithmetic on local 'lat_d' (a nil value)"). Would someone please investigate.

Infobox of many problems
[edit]Hello, this template is broken. Pushpin map is not recognized, there are no modul, or embed/embedded, no designation/heritage, and so on and on. Any chances that it gets fixed? ౪ Santa ౪99° 16:15, 5 June 2023 (UTC)
