Upgraded infobox
[edit]I've upgraded the infobox to use {{infobox}} and other supporting templates. This makes the template code much simpler, makes this infobox look like all of the others, and allows the use of location maps. You can see the proposed new template code in the sandbox. Two test examples are shown in the test cases: the new infobox is on the right.
What do other editors think? Should we use this new upgraded infobox? —hike395 (talk) 09:03, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
Rock type
[edit]Shouldn't rock type (e.g. granite, limestone), be in the infobox? 78.19.250.165 (talk) 14:18, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
Additions
[edit]Could we make a few additions to this infobox:
- Rock type (e.g granite, limestone, sandstone)
- First onsight or flash (e.g name of climber, ignore the difference between onsight and flash as they are really the same now)
- First free solo (e.g. name of climber)
Aszx5000 (talk) 11:03, 5 August 2023 (UTC)
- Could we also add:
- First winter ascent (for alpine climbing routes), and
- First female free ascent, which is now a notable item (e.g. Realization (climb))
- Aszx5000 (talk) 22:25, 24 November 2023 (UTC)
- Could we also add a "|known for=" parameter, like with "infobox climber" (e.g. is the route famous for being on a list like the List of grade milestones in rock climbing) Aszx5000 (talk) 22:27, 24 November 2023 (UTC)
