Shelf life
[edit]I changed shelf-life (SL) to Time durability (TD) as it applies to both non-rechargeable as rechargeable batteries. I repaired all entries I could find that had previously filled it in: Silver-oxide battery, Lithium ion battery and Lithium ion polymer battery. Nannen 14:30, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- I appreciate Nannen's intent to make the 'shelf life' terminology applicable to both non-rechargeable as rechargeable batteries; however, most people know what 'shelf life' means, (at least here in the USA), while it's not sufficiently clear what 'Time durability' means. With all due respect to Nannen, I suggest using terminology that is more clearly defined (with it's own wiki page), for example 'Shelf life'.

- "Calendar-life" is the more common phrase used in discussions of li-ion chemistry. "Calendar-life" harkens back to shelf-life and incorporates the notion of a lifespan for rechareable batteries too. "Time durability" is entirely unsatisfactory IMHO.sn‾uǝɹɹɐʍɯ (talk) 22:34, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
Nominal voltage
[edit]Would it make sense to add a single cell nominal voltage entry to this? For example:
chemistry | nominal voltage (at 20°C) |
---|---|
Alcaline | 1.5v |
NiMH | 1.2v |
NiCD | 1.2v |
Lead acid (flooded) | 2.1v |
Lead acid (AGM, VRLA) | 2.105 V |
Lithium | 3.6v |

Energy/consumer-price => Consumer-price/energy
[edit]I'd say that the name preceding the value should be Consumer-price/energy or possibly Consumer-price/energy-unit —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.255.33.94 (talk) 07:27, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
Charge/discharge efficiency
[edit]There is some confusion as to whether is coulombic efficiency or energy efficiency. Constant314 (talk) 23:21, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
